How can I get my computer to let me know when I recieve new mail when I'm in another site and not the mail solely?

FOR OUTLOOK


open outlook


go to tools and options


genaral tab


set it up


you will have to minimize outlook to keep it checking for mail


you can not click the x at the top right corner of outlook screen


you must use the - sign at the top right corner of outlook screen


or use this free program to keep outlook active but not in your way


this works with almost every application you want active but you want to hide

YOU PROBALY DON"T HAVE TO DO THE BELOW SETTINGS


TRY ABOVE FIRST


VOLUME SETTINGS


first check all wires to speakers


see if unpluged from the back of computer


then


click start


control panel


sounds and audio devices


volume


put check beside -- put volume control in task bar


make sure muted has not got a check mark beside it


or anything there


be sure to click apply and ok


it will be on the blue bar (task bar)


just click new icon 2 times


you can then adjust volume as needed
