Does anyone actually know how to use MS Outlook to send an email?

I have tried and tried to figure out the Wizard for MS outlook. I get stuck when the wizard gets to...

Set up e-mail servers..

Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:

___what do I put in here???______

Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name:

___what do I put in here???______

I have been getting so frustrated with this program but I know that it's probably something stupid and easy to figure out. I just haven't figured it out for myself yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Does anyone actually know how to use MS Outlook to send an email?
The incoming mail server address and outgoing mail server address are dependent on the kind of email service you are using i.e. is it a yahoo mail account , is it a corporate mail account or is it a personal account through an ISP.

If it is Yahoo , then you can log in to your Yahoo mail account , go to POP Forwarding and see what addresses you need to put in ; for instance , I have a yahoo.co.in account , and I use mail.yahoo.co.in as the POP3 server address , and smtp.yahoo.co.in as the SMTP server address.

If it is a corporate email account , you will have to find out from your systems administrator , assuming that he will allow you to configure MS Outlook.

If it is a personal email account with an ISP , you will have to contact your ISP.
Reply:Those are the names/domains for your email server. Check with your network administrator to sort this out.

If you're using a free/web-based email client (like Yahoo or Hotmail), you can find the information in their help or settings files. Yahoo pop mail is a paid service, though.
Reply:If you are using outlook to configure yahoo mail means it doesn't work because free yahoo wont support pop3. You have to pay for that then only it will work. This is applicable for hotmail too.If you pay then only then will give pop3 access. Then u can easily configure like incoming mail pops and smtp. So don't confuse yourself its very easy to configure outlook when you are paid members of yahoo and hotmail. IF u want free pop3 mail access many mails are there u can get it in google search.
Reply:pop3 incoming (your company) Outgoing(your company)
Reply:it frustrates me, so i just copy and paste the email address in my Yahoo! email. Yahoo! has the best email. they also have a nice service called Yahoo! answers. you should check it out.
Reply:contact microsoft online support.

they can give you step by step instructions.

or if you are going through your local phone company, they will help you set it up.
Reply:You get your Incoming and Outgoing servers from your email provider, or ISP. They will probably have a support link to tell you step by step on how to do it.
Reply:I think you get that info from your internet provider...
Reply:what email provider are you using?

Example:

Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:

imap.yahoo.com

Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name:

smtp.yahoo.com

Go to your email provider's website and search for their imap/smtp's
Reply:nope
