VACATION RESPONSE

CAUTION: 'Generic Response' will alert spammers your email address is active. 'Special Response' will only respond to the specific domains you select. (recomended)

Generic Response:

* Go to your email box.

* Click 'Options' (upper right, horizontal list of options, blue letters).

* Click 'Vacation Response' (second column, under 'Management', blue letters).

* Enter 'Start Date:' and 'End Date:'.

* Enter 'Generic Response' in large input field.

* Check the box '[/] Send a sample copy of this message to my Inbox'.

Special Response:

You can also setup a 'Special Response (optional)' for specific domains (e.g., yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc.). This is an optional response that can be sent when you receive messages from specific domains. You may enter up to 10 lines of text.

* Click on the 'Turn Auto-Response On' button (bottom and top left of page).

-----------

The 'Generic Response' option will alert spammers your email address is active. Not the 'Special Response (optional)' option (it's below the generic input field). You will only have to enter the domains of your contacts not their individual addresses (e.g., yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc.).

You can redirect incoming unsolicited emails to your 'Bulk' mail folder.

Turn your 'Spam Guard' on and all junk mail going to the 'Bulk' folder will be deleted automatically *without bouncing back to the sender*. 'Bulk' and 'Trash' folders contents do not count towards your allotted email storage space.

--------

To redirect incoming mail to the 'Bulk' folder:

%26gt;click 'Options' (upper right, horizontal list of options, blue letters)

%26gt;click 'General Preferences' (second column, under 'Management', blue letters)

%26gt;under 'Special Folders:'

%26gt;check the box '[/] Redirect incoming unsolicited mail to the Bulk Mail folder'

%26gt;click the 'Save' button (below the 'Mail' tab)

To turn 'SpamGuard' on:

%26gt;Go to your email box

%26gt;click 'Options' (upper right, horizontal list of options, blue letters)

%26gt;click 'Spam Protection' (first column, under 'Spam', blue letters)

%26gt;in the 'Spam Filter' section%26gt;

%26gt;click '[Turn SpamGuard On]'

%26gt;check the%26gt;%26gt;

'O Immediately delete these messages upon receipt. (Note: If you choose this option, you will not be able to review the messages before they are deleted.)'

Or%26gt;%26gt;

'O Save these messages in the Bulk Folder for [1 week[v] - [2 weeks[v] - [1 month[v]'

%26gt;in the 'Mark Spam + Not Spam' section%26gt;%26gt;

%26gt;under the 'When I mark a message as Spam, in addition to deleting the message:'%26gt;%26gt;

%26gt;check the box%26gt;%26gt;

'[/] Add the sender's email address to my blocked addresses list'

%26gt;click the 'Save Changes' button (below the 'Mail' tab)
